Chiune "Sempo" Sugihara - The Japanese Schindler | Righteous Among Nations
2Chiune "Sempo" Sugihara was a Japanese diplomat to Lithuania during the second world war. He saved the lives of many Jews during the holocaust by issuing them travel visas to Japan and other destinations allowing them to escape the oncoming Russian and German armies. He saved thousands of lives and is recognized as a righteous gentile by Yad Vashem. I wish to cover more stories of the righteous among nations because such great people should not have their stories go untold.
