1st Person Advantages

- fast paced, chaotic and immersive
- slightly higher FOV on the sides of your screen

3rd Person Advantages

- slows down the game, gives you more time to react
- better situational awareness and movement
- you can deal with multiple opponents easier
- cleaving is much faster and precise
- long reach weapons and 1 handed & shield seems to be easier to play

Blocking in 1st & 3rd person is just as good, possibly even better in 3rd due to more situational awareness and the game feeling a bit slower since it's easier to read your opponents.

Try re-binding the camera swap key and just switch between both for maximum immersion and advantage. :)
