The iconic Christopher Lloyd -- best known for playing 'Emmett "Doc" Brown' in the "Back to the Future" trilogy and his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of 'Jim Ignatowski' in the comedy series "Taxi" (1978–1983) -- reminisces about his career, shares behind-the-scenes stories and answers fan questions at his 2019 Niagara Falls Comic Con Q&A panel moderated by Canadian media personality Tanner Zipchen.
Christopher Allen Lloyd (born October 22nd, 1938) is an American stage, screen and voice actor, and comedian who came to public attention in Northeastern theater productions during the 1960s and early 1970s, earning Drama Desk and Obie awards for his work. He made his screen debut in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) and went on to star in other notable films including as 'Judge Doom' in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (1988), and 'Uncle Fester' in "The Addams Family" (1991) and its sequel "Addams Family Values" (1993), and "Sin City: A Dame to Kill" (2014) to name but a few.
Lloyd earned a third Emmy for his 1992 guest appearance in "Road to Avonlea," and won an Independent Spirit Award for his performance in "Twenty Bucks" (1993). He has done extensive voice work, including 'Merlock' in "DuckTales the Movie" (1990), 'Grigori Rasputin' in "Anastasia" (1997), the 'Woodsman' in the Cartoon Network miniseries "Over the Garden Wall" (2014) and 'The Hacker' in the PBS Kids series "Cyberchase" (2002–2015) which earned him two further Emmy nominations. He has also been nominated for two Saturn Awards and a BIFA Award. In more recent TV productions he portrayed ‘Zalmon Shaw’ / ‘The Missionary’ in "12 Monkeys" (2017-2018), ‘Professor Hargrave’ in "Granite Flats" (2014-2015) and the upcoming "Welcome to Pine Grove!" as Arthur.
Tanner Zipchen is a Canadian media personality, entertainment host, actor, writer, producer and moderator best known for his work on the "Cineplex Pre-Show." His passion for music and pop culture initially led him to a career in radio where he conducted hundreds of interviews with a variety of musicians, actors and entertainment icons -- and where he still hosts weekly radio segments. Tanner eventually took his show on the road, travelling across Canada to interview guests and, before long, to host and moderate panels at our largest Comic Cons and Entertainment Expos. In 2015, he auditioned for the Cineplex Casting Call where Canadians voted him their new Pre-Show host on movie screens across Canada! As host and producer, Tanner travels internationally to blockbuster film sets to interview actors, directors and experts in order to bring fans the latest Hollywood news and behind-the-scenes experiences.
