Chrono Trigger ~ Corridors of Time (YM2151 + PCM Arrangement)

A arcade-styled cover of Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger.
A few notes about the arrangement:
This is my first attempt at using the "arcade" console in Deflemask. For songs like this with chords held for long periods of time, the extra two FM channels over the Genesis' YM2612 are really handy. The five sample channels also make percussion a cinch, especially after being used to single channel sample playback restrictions. There are a few more songs I put away a while back due to chords making arrangements near infeasible which I may return to now in arcade format!
The original composition has a drum sample that bends upward in pitch, hypothesized by those I've spoken with to be a talking drum. Late at night I realized I had heard a similar sound in a Genesis game! That's how pitch-shifted samples of beans landing from Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine became my drum sound. Since I love the music from that game I considered trying to make the whole arrangement use their instruments, but it didn't sound quite right.

I've also decided to make these arrangements available as .dmf and .vgm files alongside the .wavs. I get help from more experienced musicians all the time, and always value having my own old work as reference when trying something new.
