Join me as I begin my quest of running through Chrono Trigger for the Super Nintendo ( also available on Nintendo DS and PC for Steam ) In Part 1 I will run from the very humble beginnings of Crono's bedroom awakened by his mother to being taken prisoner and up for execution! This is one of my absolute favorite JRPGs because of it's epic story and unforgettable characters. In part 1 we will be introduced to Crono Lucca Marle and Frog oh how I love Frog in Chrono Trigger !! I hope you enjoy, I am playing this on the Super Nintendo Classic Edition which you can mod to play ANY Super Nintendo game you want and add hundreds of titles to it by following this guide: https://snesclassicmods.com/how-to-add-more-games-to-snes-classic-mini/

Chrono Trigger features standard role-playing video game gameplay. The player controls the protagonist and his companions in the game's two-dimensional world, consisting of various forests, cities, and dungeons. Navigation occurs via an overworld map, depicting the landscape from a scaled-down overhead view. Areas such as forests, cities, and similar places are depicted as more realistic scaled-down maps, in which players can converse with locals to procure items and services, solve puzzles and challenges, or encounter enemies. Chrono Trigger's gameplay deviates from that of traditional Japanese RPGs in that, rather than appearing in random encounters, many enemies are openly visible on field maps or lie in wait to ambush the party. Contact with enemies on a field map initiates a battle that occurs directly on the map rather than on a separate battle screen.

Chrono Trigger is a 1995 role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that began the Chrono series. Chrono Trigger's development team included three designers that Square dubbed the "Dream Team": Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Square's successful Final Fantasy series; Yuji Horii, a freelance designer and creator of Enix's popular Dragon Quest series; and Akira Toriyama, a manga artist famed for his work with Dragon Quest and Dragon Ball. In addition, Kazuhiko Aoki produced the game, Masato Kato wrote most of the story, while composer Yasunori Mitsuda wrote most of the soundtrack before falling ill and deferring the remaining tracks to Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu. The game's story follows a group of adventurers who travel through time to prevent a global catastrophe.
