The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.

I. AM. THE. LAW. Okay, that was the most fun I had with this game. Let's see... Judge Dredd... a really fun action movie. Let's make it a very slow-paced action game where it's not obvious at all where it is you're supposed to go, or do. Cool! Sounds like a Game Boy game to me. Seriously though, getting stuck on the -first- level?? How many games have I played in my life, and why can't I figure out what to do on ANY of these Game Boy games? Hard pass, of course. NEXT!

Okay, here we go. A completely competent beat 'em up. This is what I expect from the Game Boy. It's not the best by any means, but it is playable and easy to go through for the first few levels.

But...

What WAS the end there?? What was I supposed to? Fight literally dozens of enemies? Do something specific? I couldn't enter in the window, at least as far as I could tell. I am sure I am missing something, but how could they keep making so many Game Boy games where it is super not obvious what you're supposed to do? And I had so much hope...
