The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.

If there has ever been the perfect definition of an Original Game Boy game, its MotoCross Maniacs. It's a game... it's pick up and play... and that's about it. As Trevor noted, it certainly does look unfinished. I realize that's the way the level design is set up, but it definitely gives that look. It is such a simplistic game that there really is nothing else to say. NEXT!

Gradius: The Interstellar Assault is.... w-what.... AWESOME! Yeah, it has some framerate issues, and the trip tends to travel a bit too slow, but this is a fantastic portable game. It feels a lot like Gradius on the NES/SNES, just a tiny bit toned-down, as expected. Graphics look great, gameplay is smooth, controls are good, music is more than decent --- this is, dare I say it, an excellent Game Boy game.

I only wish I was better (this was a sight-playthrough) so I could show more of the game off, but you get a pretty good idea from the first level and a half. And, just like any Gradius game, the second you lose -one- life, especially near a boss, forget about it. You'll be so under powered that it's GG. Thanks for watching!
