CiB Let's Try - Final Fight Guy (SNES)
Final Fight was originally released in 1991 for the SNES, as a very early release for the system. In the original game, only Cody and Haggar were playable characters.
In June 1994, a revised version of Final Fight, named Final Fight Guy, was released, originally as a Blockbuster exclusive rental. It was eventually released as a standard game available in stores, though in very limited quantities. Regardless of release, Final Fight was developed and published by Capcom.
The biggest change is that you can play as Guy instead of Cody, which includes a new opening and ending scene -- they also added a few new power-ups, though still didn't have all the features of the 1989 arcade game.
That being said, it's still (technically) Final Fight 1, which is a very early SNES release -- and it shows. Comparing it to later beat 'em ups (or even Turtles in Time) makes this a pretty average game overall. This is definitely a case where the story behind this release is way, way cooler than the actual game itself. Thanks for watching!
