CiB Let's Try - Metal Marines (SNES)
4Metal Marines was released in December 1993 as a SNES exclusive. It was both developed and published by Namco.
Sometimes with these Let's Try videos, we completely get thrown for a loop when trying out one of these games -- and that was the case with Metal Marines. I never looked up anything about this game (to be fair, it is pretty darn uncommon), and I was expecting something very action-y, if not a bit generic. What we got instead is a pretty well-bade console RTS.
That being said, retro console RTS are about as opposite to my tastes as humanly possible. I don't have the patience to learn a bunch of new lingo (especially during a Let's Try), but it is clear that Metal Marines was made with a lot of love and care. I personally cannot fathom sitting through -any- retro console RTS, you could do much, much worse than Metal Marines for SNES. Thanks for watching!
