CiB Let's Try - The Adventures of Kid Kleets (SNES)
The Adventures of Kid Kleets (known elsewhere in the world as Soccer Kid) was released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo. It was developed by Krisalis Software, a former British company who developed Alone in the Dark for 3DO, and a bunch of games that either never came over to NTSC regions, or I never heard of.
It was published, at least in this region, by Ocean Software, which is essentially 'The LJN' of the SNES era.
Hey look, another platformer on the SNES! First off, my apologies for playing so terribly. I was really trying to use the soccer ball mechanic, which I really like the idea of. It's a really neat idea that was not implemented very well - at least as far as I can tell in 13 minutes of gameplay.
Perhaps you can just run through the stages, bypassing all enemies, and leaving the soccer ball behind --- but at that point, what is the point of playing the game? Props to the music in the opening cutscenes - all bangers. Overall, this is a pretty rare game that you may not have heard of before --- it's probably worth giving it a quick playthrough, any way you can. Thanks for watching!
