CiB Let's Try - Ultimate Fighter (SNES)
Ultimate Fighter was released in June ,1994 as a Super Nintendo exclusive (despite having a 1993 copyright on the title screen). It was developed and published by Culture Brain, who also made Flying Warriors (NES), Baseball Simulator 1,000 (NES/SNES), and Super Ninja Boy (SNES). Somehow, they are still a company, even though they don't appear to release games anymore.
Like many of our Let's Try games, this is an odd one. I'm sure we've seen Ultimate Fighter at -some- point at the store in our 12 years of business, but not very often, and I certainly do not remember it. This is one of those games that is truly uncommon (at least in our area), but isn't expensive, and I believe that's because Ultimate Fighter isn't that good.
There's definitely a lot worse on the SNES, don't get me wrong, but I played the single-player for roughly 10 minutes and was pretty darn over it by the end of that 10 minutes. Gameplay is a mixture of a beat 'em up and a standard fighting game, and both types of gameplay are average. I do like that they created a 'Flying Warriors' universe here, to harken back to their 1991 NES release 'Flying Warriors', but beyond that, you can probably skip this one. Thanks for watching!
