CiB Let's Try - Woody Woodpecker Racing (PS1)
Woody Woodpecker Racing was released on November 22, 2000 for the PS1 -- it soon after got versions on PC and Game Boy Color (oh no...). It was developed by Syrox Developments (which later became known as Climax London, and developed Lion King and Jungle Book for the Game Gear, as well as Asteroids 64 -- they shut down in 2007). It was developed by Konami, for some reason.
Hey, it's another Kart racer! Kart racers are one of my least favorite genres of video games, and when I saw this come in the store, I simply had to give it a try -- then I'll never have to play it again!
Overall, the game runs smoothly and looks fine, but it's just another boring, uninspired Mario Kart clone, this time with an IP that nobody cares about, even back in 2000. It's definitely not the worst kart racer out there - which means it just blends it with everything else. Regardless, thanks for watching!
