Cinemaware Wings for Game Boy Advance Played On Wide-Boy 64 on TV
Wings from Cinemaware created on Game Boy Advance - and played on Wide-Boy 64. Developed by Intelligent Systems, the Wide-Boy 64 (CGB/AGB) is a rather obscure series of adapters similar to the Super Game Boy that was able to play Game Boy games; however, it was only released to the developers and the press and was never released to the public. A device similar to the Super Game Boy and Game Boy Player, the Wide-Boy 64 allows video game developers to play Game Boy Color games on the television screen in a similar fashion as the Game Boy Player does with Game Boy Advance games and the Super Game Boy with original Game Boy games. It also allowed the gaming press to capture screen shots more easily. Like the Super Game Boy and Game Boy Player, the game screen itself is surrounded by a template mimicking the appearance of the portable system. This device was used for final matches at the Pokémon League Summer Training Tour '99. It was not a consumer product as only developers and magazines could purchase one from Nintendo at a cost of $1400 USD a piece. The Canadian children's game show Video & Arcade Top 10 used Wide-Boy 64 adapters so contestants could play Game Boy titles on some later episodes.

You are an allied fighter pilot in WW1, duking it out with the "Huns" up in the sky in over 200 missions.
The missions usually come in three flavors: Top-down view bombing missions where you have to take out strategically important targets, isometric strafing runs where you get to blast anything that you fancy blasting with an unlimited supply of ammo, and of course the main part: Dogfights in the sky. Rendered in 3D, seems from behind your head.
The game is set in the years 1916 through 1918, and to loosen things up a little, we get to read a page of our character's new entry for the diary-like journal in his company between every mission.

These are old video files from our original FTP archive, eDome.net, from around 1998-2001. It was a popular gaming destination with news, reviews, articles, online games, servers and FTP file service. Some of the FTP site content survived in backups after the site was closed. So if the file is low resolution or horrible, that's because this is how the file was published & available for download in 1998-2001 era.
