Cities from Scratch: Creating Contextual Environments to Inform Your Projects | 3D Basecamp 2024
Eric Sargeant, Training Content Producer, SketchUp Campus (formerly)
Every successful project is dependent to the location in which it is built. In the session, Eric will share his proven process for bringing in contextual information as the foundation for 3D analysis and design. We will walk through how to find, import, organize, and customize data from various public sources into one cohesive existing conditions base model containing four distinct urban layers: ‘The Ground’ (topography), ‘The Invisible’ (policy boundaries), ‘The Built’ (existing structures) and ‘The Imagined’ (initial concept design).
