Actually big skip, I still haven't worked out the exact route to follow after this, since we're kind of going backwards it's complicated because of the day night stuff

My best guess is you perform the skip while in day form, drop the shortcut rock and do the fight that's on the intended entrance of this area, then die somewhere as close as possible somehow. In night mode you go up the shortcut, do the fight that clears the vines and then wake up.
After that you can simply not do the fight you're supossed to do by not going close and keep backtracking, in the mushroom area there's hopefully a checkpoint you can grab if you backtrack, you need it because we have to go into night mode again to go through some vines, after this you can simply continue as normal, probably, untested.
