Clinical EFT Pilot Study (Performing the Protocol on You, Mirrored Touch, Face Tapping) 🩺 ASMR RP
400Our goal is to test if bilateral Clinical EFT is more effective for insomnia than unilateral EFT, but we've got to make sure the protocol is easy enough for participants to adhere to, thus the reason for this pilot study! After explaining the process, I'll be alternating showing you the Clinical EFT sequence on you, mirroring the sequence on myself & you, and performing it solely on me so you know what it should look like.
Clinical EFT combines cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, and acupressure as a treatment for conditions like anxiety, phobias, PTSD, and pain management. It apparently actually has some weight behind it and is considered an 'evidence-based practice'. From Oxford Languages: "a feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound.
