Clip Studio Paint Test! - Kirby Render Speedart
56Been very music brained for the past few months but finally back with another speedart! This one's a little different though...
Yeah so this was a test recording for Clip Studio Paint which I would like to move to as my main art program, and as I've said before I think it's going well! Just be sure to watch the full video before reading on if you haven't already as I actually put all of my thoughts about it in there and also have a query for you guys. So because of that I'm gonna talk about somethin else while I'm here, which is... doing these character renders is pretty damn fun lmao and so I'm probably gonna do more of them! I mentioned I want to do this before but I plan on having a character render for all major characters for Project Dream (and I'm thinking of doing it for Terraria Legends too) so I'm probably gonna make mini speedarts like this one for them :)
I keep saying time and time again that I want to give you guys something to enjoy while I work on the big stuff and I keep struggling to find good ideas for things to do and so I think this is finally one of those xD So yeah, like the actual project itself I'm probably going to start with Susie (although I'm debating doing Bandana Dee and Dedede first since I already did Kirby and Meta Knight... but eh idk I'll think about it some more. Or maybe a community tab poll?) and then work my way backwards through the Dream Friend list, basically following the same way I did the main videos. For Terraria Legends I think I'll do renders of the bosses and the NPCs, Via and Orion change gear too often to really have standalone renders of them, but I'll probably do atleast a few for different stages of the game, like the beginning, start of hardmode, post-Plantera, etc.
So yeah, lemme know what you guys think of that plan! Also to briefly touch on this Kirby render real quick, like with the Meta Knight render I posted in the community tab the pose is taken from my Return to Dream Land Deluxe illustration and is essentially an upscaled version of it, minus the Ultra Sword of course lmao, I'm just a big fan of those renders and so I feel like usin' them as my unofficial official renders for the cast lol. Also, while this is technically Kirby's render now for Project Dream, I figured since this other than that has no actual ties to the series, I'd label it with the standard thumbnail watermark and not include it in the Project Dream playlist. I feel it's just better organised that way.
