After uploading my last video, I've received several inquiries about Spyro. I was able to shot this video in a studio.

I did find out the 3 Skylander figures sent out to video game journos in 2011 - Spyro (pictured), Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy - will NOT operate in any version of the Skylanders games. Why? The E3 2011 Skylanders were only halfway activated. If placed on the Portal of Power, it may show up as a Skylander, but will immediately error out. According to the sticker on the figure, the MO was to take the Skylander to Activision's E3 booth and activate it there.

According to sources, there were 600 figures sent out. The sources say there were 200 Spyros, 200 Gill Grunts and 200 Trigger Happys sent out. However, no one knows the exact number of sealed figures still exist.

There is great news. If you have one of the originals unsealed, you still may be able to get a pretty penny for the figure. The figure may look like Spyro from the starter pack, but if it wasn't activated at Activision's booth, it will error out.
