CME Reports Record Trading Volumes
0Average daily volumes for bitcoin alone were 13,693 contracts, each worth 5 bitcoins, for a total of 68,465 or $1.4 billion per day. Last year, ether futures were also introduced, with contract volumes increasing by 10% to 7.2k. CME recorded a record 174,537 contracts across all crypto products, exceeding the previous quarter by more than 64%.
