Keep the files you need. Remove the files you don't.

After Effects UI Script to keep source files organized.

Many AE users prefer to keep project source files centrally located. But, no matter how organized you try to be, you might find groups of files scattered around.

Maybe temp files from your downloads folder that you were just trying out. But became permanent.

Or reusable elements from an external hardrive or server. But now that you're archiving the project, you need to keep a copy local to your project.

You could use the native 'Collect Files...' option. But this will silo each AE project individually, and duplicate all source files. Even if the same footage is used in multiple AE projects.

Co-Dependencies is there to help.

Migrate This Project / Gather Linked Files
Helps to keep AE project source files organized and centrally located by moving (or copying) source files that currently reside outside of your project directory. Those project items are then automatically linked to these newly moved source files.

Cleanup Directory
Also, allows you to analyze multiple AE projects to catalog all used source files. And then remove any files in your chosen directory that are not being used.
