Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity (Wii): Any% Speedrun in 1:11:58
60After 3 years of absence, I finally decided to come back to this game and finish what I started, previously I burnt myself out completely due to having unrealistic expectations and I wanted to go for every single skip whether it saved a considerable amount of time or not.
So I set the bar much lower this time around, I told myself I'd be satisfied with a low 1:12 and to not go for every little precise timesave depending on the pace of the run. Even after voluntarily dropping 1st damage jump and Petrification skip I still managed to get my previous goal time of sub 1:12.
I'm extremely happy with this run, the only major time loss was failing to get Time Control on first hover, but it was followed by a rather solid Ulrich segment to make up for it.
Overall rng was average and the boss fights were pretty good, outside of the final boss which was rather sloppy (but believe me my hands were shaking A LOT).
That all said I'm done grinding this at least for now as I want to give the other categories a try for a change, I may come back to this someday to push it to a lower 1:11 but this run is already super solid.
Also I do not monetize my videos, however because of the ending credits song there's a chance of ads appearing on the video and there's nothing I can do about it, I'm not interested in filing any disputes or such so just download an adblocker if you already have not done so.
