On the October 18th edition of Friday Night SmackDown Cody Rhodes addressed his match with Gunther at the upcoming crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. But he fails to mention the friction between him and Kevin Owens completely ignoring the topic. Meanwhile Kevin Owens is banned from coming to work according to what he says during his Friday Night smackdown promo that he shot in his car and sent to the WWE production crew to say how he feels about the matter.

Randy Orton who tried to break up the fight between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens the week before. Got jumped by Kevin Owens the previous week and tried to get a match with Kevin Owens from Nick Aldis. But the smackdown GM said that the matter was above his pay grade. Nick Aldis told Randy Orton that he could not get the match with Kevin Owens that he was seeking at least not for right now. Which in my opinion is very mysterious and points to storylines being put on hold to let the matches in Saudi Arabia happen.
