Cold Storage (YM2608 Cover) - Splatoon 3: Side Order
Look at that little circular guy in the corner!! Are you telling me that's a boss?? Anyway, this is my rendition of one of Splatoon 3 Side Order's boss themes! I mixed elements from the various battle phases into one loop, and it was a lot of fun re-capturing the crazy synth slides.
Just like the last track, "Shifting Stars", I tried to remain faithful to the original while elaborating certain elements that feel natural to me - for example, I used the frantic aug7th chord sounds much more and incorporated a lot of arpeggios that are unique to my version. For any non-musical people who want a simple explanation: I made the song a whole lot crazier.
The artwork for this one is directly based on the ingame character icon! In fact, it's pretty much just that, downscaled, with touch ups... sorry for being lazy on this one.
I hope you enjoyed the remix! More stuff incoming. Probably a winter-y holiday theme to round off the year, soon... (yes, this theme DOES have "Cold" in it, but I don't count it).
