8Collecting has become harder all hobbies in value. As a consumer of collectables in the market, collecting has become a gamble in value. for three main reasons people talk about. 1. Covid era gave people an outlet to jump into collecting and reselling. 2. people looking to collect are completing their collections. and three, companies like Hasbro are remaking old toys to take from the secondary market. plus you can get complete figures. Also with music companies, printing new cd's and records for older music. and that goes for abou anything you can collect. Collecting is becoming rough all around. I say collect how you want to collect, but the truth is, it is becoming a nostalgia market and less of a value market. Not to say some items are not worth money. there are a handful of holy grails out there for all different hobbies. but now your secondary market has to care about companies re-issuing toy figures, vinyl records, so on and so forth. so collecting is becoming a test, are you collecting to enjoy your hobby or are you trying to make money? and it is ok if it is one or the other and both!
