9Let's talk about the truth about collecting, magic, toys and whatever it is. If it's new is usually easier to get your hands on, newer items unless scalped or bought out by resellers, are usually easy to collect. the secondary market on the other hand gets messy, more expensive. And for more vintage items this is more true. Time on collecting, missing a yard-sale or being late to a yard-sale can hinder your chances of finding that collectable gold. those estate sales get hit hard really quick, the resellers you got to beat are hard to deal with. Competition is rough. On top of that finding them good deals have become harder to find, because people have learned that their smartphones can teach them the secondary market for buy-listing prices. becoming a value hunter has become hard in the collecting world. Goodwill stores and other stores like it are selling items for near Ebay secondary market prices. stuff ain't cheap anymore. It is getting rough for the collector in general. you can still find those hidden deals, but rarely nowadays. with fresh stock, i guess you can hope to find them on clearance. but most likely what you want to collect are not shelf warmers, peg warmer items.
