Collecting is a great hobby, but you need to make sure it is not taking up all of your time and effort. Having a balance will prevent yourself from being 'consumed' into the hobby and relating yourself as a person to the items that you own. I highly recommend that you keep multiple hobbies and interests in your life in order to keep things in perspective.
