The Nexus Hub team got some gameplay hands-on time with The Surge 2 from developer Deck13, and bring the first fifteen minutes in this preview video, which takes us from the opening custom character creator to a mini boss-battle. Published by Focus Home Interactive, The Surge 2 features combat mechanics similar to those of the Dark Souls series, with tight timing-based combat all built around a futuristic exo-suit that allows players to upgrade health, stamina and energy levels.

Can we survive our first "boss" style encounter, or will the challenging and unforgiving world of Jericho City get the best of us? All footage was captured on PlayStation 4.

The Surge 2 releases September 24th, and is available for pre-order on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
