Combat Medical Technicians from 1 Medical Regiment in Munster have been put to the test with their final validation exercise before they deploy to Afghanistan. The regiment plays a crucial role on the ground in Afghanistan by providing vital medical cover to troops. During their validation exercise soldiers were tested on how they would deal with six difference scenarios that they could face in theatre including IED blasts and how to give treatment safely in the darkness.
