Here are the videos to the "For Honor" open beta on the weekend. Finally uploaded (thank you crazy slow upload times).

In the video I go into focusing on the fact that the game has no single player even though a part of me thought it might have.

This is not the case.

Yes it actually does have single player, I was probably blind when looking up for it whilst making this video (or simply too hyped to play the beta thus bother with the details?)... Anyhoot, it has 3 main character arcs and a single player story.

Either 3 separate campaigns? Or from what I gathered a single campaign story that takes you from one character to the next?

Which is hardly the story mode I would have enjoyed and seems like a generic addition with console-like quick-time events and the likes... Which is worse than no story imo, as the game looks to be primarily marketed for its combat and online meta and casual console market as well, story not being its strength.

Maybe I am spoiled. But my initial verdict still stands. The campaign looks more like filler and again probably not worth the price tag.

I could be wrong, but again this looks like a title that is much more fitting for a F2P model that will sustain it for future additions.

Otherwise I fear it will become a numbered title like the CoD franchise and what not (which is usually the case for single purchase PvP games as is this one. They release a single purchase title, slap a generic campaign on it to justify single purchase prices, find the problems with it to improve, then roll out a single purchase sequel for it, and rinse and repeat).

Even with being against the price tag for the content it has, this continues to be a game format I was looking forward to a while, and despite my recommendations will probably end up buying it myself.

Thanks to steam picking this game up at a discount might actually be REALLY worth it. So keep our eyes open for that at least.

The game for what it does offer though, aside from its P2P matchmaking problems, when it does work is solid. Combat feels great, visuals are amazing, animations spot on... It is regardless a top quality product and for some worth the price of admission.

And I really do hope the player base grows, as this could really be a very addictive title with its online "conquest" type modes and I hope I see it succeed.
