Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, released in 2000 by Westwood Studios, is the sequel to the original Red Alert and continues the alternate history storyline where the Allied Nations and Soviet Union clash in a fictional World War II setting. Higher resolution videos with more professional actors, new units and better ingame graphics are perhaps the most important innovations of this successor.

The game's plot begins with the Soviets successfully infiltrating the American mainland, crippling major cities and military installations. In response, the United States activates its defense system, the "Weather Control Device"...
