Command Block Survival - The Structure Manifest - Ep 167
14Structures can copy and paste builds and today I want to build a system to automatically trade off the blocks doing that would cost. So we'll look into working on lava tube houses underneath our dormant lush volcano and work on setting the system up, which I call the structure manifest system.

That basalt generator was hilariously bad. I was trying to set one up quick that I could farm in the background, but it refused to cooperate. Not totally sure why it failed either. For the future I've set up a beacon and smelting area in the basalt delta now that I know you can insta-mine the stuff. It's a lot better solution overall.
The way I designed the data storage for the structure manifest, it stores the info as an item in a list. So we could have multiple items in the list and probably rotate through them easily (which is what the "refresh" button is intended to be used for, updating the chest with the new manifest). First thing I'll add is the old villager house for posterity just to make sure it works. Definitely super, super happy about this update if I didn't already say it. 🤣
I ended up adding the error for each missing item. It was actually very easy to add; I was surprised. Fun semi-related fact though, there's a bug where if I have multiple stacks of an item required, it will only check if I have 1 full stack in my inventory. If I have all the items, it works perfect. If I'm missing some it will proceed normally if I have at least a stack and clear what I have. Since the if items check doesn't add up the total of each item, it could potentially ignore the items beyond that one stack that are missing. There wasn't any good solution I could think of in time, so I just tried to make sure I had enough of the multi-stack items lol. I'll have to fix it later...
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
