⭕ Comments & keywords in C programming ⭕
🛑 COMMENTS 🛑
In C programming, comments are used to include explanatory notes within the code that are ignored by the compiler during compilation. Comments are useful for documenting the purpose of a particular code block or for leaving messages for other programmers who might need to modify the code in the future. There are two types of comments in C programming:
✔ Single-line comments: These comments begin with // and continue until the end of the line. Anything written after // is ignored by the compiler.
✔ Multi-line comments: These comments begin with /* and end with */. Anything written between these symbols is ignored by the compiler.
🛑 KEYWORDS 🛑
Keywords, on the other hand, are reserved words that have a specific meaning in the C language. Keywords cannot be used as variable names or identifiers in the code. C programming has 32 keywords, which include data types (int, float, char), control structures (if, else, switch), loop structures (for, while, do-while), and others (return, break, continue).
Here is a list of all keywords in C programming:
auto, break, case, char, const, continue, default, do, double, else, enum, extern, float, for, goto, if, int, long, register, return, short, signed, sizeof, static, struct, switch, typedef, union, unsigned, void, volatile, while.
