Most Commodore machines have one "Shift Lock" key to deal with, but the C128 has three such keys and each one requires a hot soldering iron to release the wires from the prongs onto which they normally reside.
If you are not comfortable soldering or being around such hot irons, do not do this!
To take a keyboard apart, these wires be released...You could snip them if you wanted to, but it would make putting it back together much more difficult!
