T2 Judgment Day, developed by Dementia and published by ocean in 1991.
T2 is an arcade style game made up multiple game styles separating the levels. You start off with a Beat em up section, then onto driving, then a puzzle and finally platforming. Coupled with some nice graphics and oc sound effects you would think would make for a great game ...but you would be wrong!
Right off the bad, the fighting feels horrible and one sided so you need to be good at blocking. The game has a brutal difficulty curve. This is one of Oceans 1 life and you are done games. You get an energy bar but that has to get you through the whole game! Doing bad in the first fight means you wont be able to take many hits in the driving section. This is shown very clearly later on in the game with sarah connor where i didn't do so well and can only take one hit in the swat van. It is not a lot of fun when you have to start the whole game from the beginning if you die. The first puzzle is easy, but I always have trouble with the slot moving puzzle in every version of the game I have played.
Overall, the game with its cutscenes makes for a well presented game. Just its difficulty really limits who will get to see the game through. I had the tape version but the game also came on cartridge which was bundles in a special box pack with the Commodore 64c. The cartridge also contains Modern Music Maker and Image Maker
