Commodore PET Composite Video Circuit Board Prototypes Connected To An Original Chiclet 2001 Model 4
Time to try a 1902 Commodore monitor...oh dear...this is getting baffling and frustration is building...sigh...
#3 Description...
I was having trouble with an 1802 monitor...so I found my vintage COMREX green monitor and wanted to see how the output from the PET would look on it...as well as on the 1802...again...and the well, the results were...interesting and a bit surprising...and I am not sure if that is good or bad...
Maybe I will find an Amiga monitor with all the inputs it has and see what it does...
Description of Video #2...
After trying things once and having no real results, it was time to consult with Rudy...and indeed, that was helpful as he suggested that I put the circuit boards in upside down...so that the components were facing down rather than up and of course make sure that I was actually plugging things into the User Port and try it all again...and so I did!
@RudysRetroIntel is Rudy's channel...he has a look here, but if you want to get in touch with him faster...go check him out!
Description from the first video...
Rudy of Rudy's Retro Intel sent me three different prototypes of circuits designed to let you connect a 1701 or other composite monitor up to a PET.
This is handy if you are trying to figure out if the monitor on your PET is working or not, or if you are using a PET and you want to have another view...the circuits were gathered from an assortment of places, and he has designed circuit boards and since he does not have an original PET, I will do the testing and report back what I find...it has been awhile since I have tinkered on any of the very old computers and my memory at times about what is what and what goes where eludes me...
So, onward with the first batch of attempts...
