Welcome to Complete in Cast, the official podcast for Complete in Box Video games. In this episode, we check out Darksiders (PS4 re-master), a game that really blends the lines between genres.

Darksiders tells the story of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. With a premise like that, you would expect a non-stop action game, but Darksiders does a really good job of providing you with an unexpected game experience. In reality, Darksiders is like a ‘mature’ version of The Legend of Zelda – don’t worry, we do our best to explain during the podcast.

Overall, Darksiders really is a breath of fresh air in a genre (action/adventure) that can become very stale, very quickly. It gives you enough reasons to continue, even if there are some definite and obvious problems. We would definitely recommend Darksiders to anyone who loves action/adventure games, or, anyone who is looking to broaden their horizons with a fresh take on the genre.

We rate each game in six categories: Story, Gameplay, Sound, Graphics/Atmosphere, Fun Factor, and Replayability. Each category is graded out of 10, and an average of all six scores is the total score. To us, a 5 is average, whereas a 7 is a good experience, an 8 is great, etc.

Enjoy!
