Complete in Shocks - Kuon - Part 1
(Edit: sorry about low volume, the mic was weird this week. Turn up those speakers for this video!)
Welcome to the LP of Kuon, an obscure Japanese-themed horror game for the PS2. Kuon is mostly infamous for being pretty rare (many would consider it, at the least, top 10 for the PS2, if not much higher), but... is it good?
Yeah...
Just like all horror games from back then, it is quite the experience.
A few things to note, first off:
1) We apologize for how dark it is. You just have to trust us that the game is THAT dark. If you can barely see anything on certain screens, it means that I can barely see anything on certain screens. It is ALL-TIME dark. (this gets better late in the game)
2) It is undeniably a 'walkthrough' game. A lot of the settings end up looking very similar, the items you have to get to progress are spread out far and wide, and, most importantly, enemies are very annoying, and you have very little health items... so you really don't want to spend too much time messing around.
So, you'll hear me reading from a mini walkthrough I created because, well, a lot of the Shrine early on looks exactly the same.
That being said, as Trevor puts it halfway through the sit-down: 'What is going on in the story?' Stay tuned!
