So, this was a game I only recently heard about and after looking into it a bit I decided I wanted to give it a go. Seeing as how this was A) only released in Japan on the Super Famicom and B) extremely expensive due to being an extremely late 1995 release (about $375 for a loose cart as of today)... I went ahead and picked up a SNES reproduction cart so that I could play it as close to authentic as possible. Yeah, yeah, I know.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with this, though it is VERY challenging at certain points. Truth be told, I did NOT complete this game in one go; I did use the password system so that I could see the entire game. Frankly, without a lot of practice I think doing all of this game on one continue (which is all you get) would be EXQUISITELY difficult. Maybe one day...

Fantastic graphics, a nice mix of Contra/Gradius styles of gameplay and some of the literal craziest action I've ever seen in a SNES game left me very impressed with this underappreciated gem. If it looks fun watching me play, it's even better to give it a go yourself and I highly recommend it.
