Leo and the team have been at Computex all week in Taipei and today they spent time with Sapphire seeing new graphics cards and even new motherboards from Sapphire as well? They also showcased their new Phantom Link solution by incorporating GPU power through a new motherboard slot. ASUS have done similar already, but we werent expecting Sapphire to even have motherboards at Computex this year, never mind a cable free GPU solution.

We know the 12VHPWR cable has been almost exclusively Nvidia, but Sapphire did release a RX 9070XT with the cable and connector earlier this year. Luckily Sapphire did install a pair of fuses next to the connector that will blow before the connector gets damaged.
