0This is from our 2007 EP, God Only Knows. I always thought there was something neat going on with this song despite its flaws (pitchy, dawg!) and a weird, slow vibe that was maybe a little too much for Tim to swallow. 🙂 While I'm not sure if Tim ever came around on this one, I think John liked it well enough.
After I wrote and recorded this song, I realized I might have ripped off Eric Clapton by accident. He either was cool with it (thanks, mate!) or he somehow missed hearing it. It's about choosing to cultivate one's own legend and the inherent conflict of interest that lies strewn about that path. There might even be some devil stuff in there. I do that sometimes.
