"Return to Sobibor" - dfh [RE-REMASTERED]
"Return to Sobibor" was the closing song from our debut album. It is a bunch of craziness.
On a serious note, this song is about returning again and again to the self-destructive impulses that give us comfort, even though we certainly by now know better. I hope that we all can break our hurtful cycles so we can be good to ourselves and kind to others.
Buuut - this song is from when we were in our early 20's and we were all fucking amped on Mt. Dew, so it comes off as a little more, let's just say, aggro.

---------------------------------------------(lyrics)
I never said that I was stable.
Do you think I did?
I'll do it, god damnit, I'll do it again!
'Cuz I'm sick, sick, sick and Twiztid.
Double-bubble-burnt, fired up, and blistered.
By lateral matters of the guttural instincts.
And I think I'm on the brink of enlightenment,
but I just might take a drink of Jones' Kool-Aid.
But afraid it might be made by YOU!
Is it as good for you as it is for me -
seeing my life blood leaving my body?
Put your hands in mine and sensually
feel the sands of time encompass me.
Hopes it makes you feel so damn pretty -
seeing my warm, life blood upon your body.
If it wouldn't make your world such a better place,
this look of pain would never leave my face.
(My face)
The facts.
(the facts)
I'm never coming back.
(I'm never coming back.)
Not like I would if I could.
(not like I would if I could)
To be invincible feels too good!!
It's just like comin' home again.
And the same old friend
that got me through before
is waiting at the door -
Telling me to close my eyes and to keep moving on,
Knowing full well I'll keep coming back until I'm too far gone.
I'M COMING HOME!
...And with each scar, a story's
told and etched in stone.
Deeper than the spirit runnin' through my bones.
Another small victory, yet contradictory.
Built to the hilt, so the guilt don't stick to me.
And I stand beside my dichotomy.
Shouts go out for every dirty look shot at me.
Lest you forget that as fucked-up as you might be:
Test me if you will, but you'll never out-crazy me!

(I'm never coming back.)
