With so many different products released by companies like AMD, Intel and Nvidia there's always going to be a bit of a challenge with the naming schemes...

But recent naming conventions from these companies is crazy, Intel's 10th generation CPUs for mobility is a great example - with both Ice Lake and Comet Lake having major differences, but with have such similar name the 'average' person wouldn't be able to know what it is.

Then AMD, with their Zen+ APUs powering the ryzen 3000 series... and of course, Nvidia and their Super series.
