Congo Bongo | Commodore 64 | ColecoVision | Arcade
6By request, I'm checking out Congo Bongo. I never cared much for this game as a kid and now I know why. The Commodore 64 port, which is the one I had, was AWFUL. My best guess as to why is because Congo Bongo was only about one year into the Commodore's lifespan, and the developers had not figured out how to fully use the hardware yet.
For an example of what I mean, compare the 1982 Christmas Demo to any modern tech demo. (Bad Apple is usually a good bet to see how much a system can handle.)
