Console Fighting Games of 2002 - Rage of the Dragons
1Rage of the Dragons is a Neo Geo console exclusive tag-based fighting game developed by Noise Factory and Mexico-based developer Evoga Entertainment, Rage of the Dragons was the first collaborative developed game between a Mexican and Japanese studio. Rage of the Dragons was released in Arcades and on the Neo Geo in 2002, a browser version of the game was released in 2021, this followed the acquisition of the rights to Rage of the Dragons by Piko Interactive in 2020.
Rage of the Dragons was published by Playmore Corporation a former affiliate company of SNK Corporation with Playmore Corporation being established in 2001 following their acquisition of the rights to SNK Corporation's IPs following its bankruptcy.
Rage of the Dragons had been planned to be a sequel to 1995's Double Dragon, however, Evoga were unable to acquire the rights to Double Dragon instead choosing to create a game that pays homage to Double Dragon.
