The third entry in the Soul Blade/Edge/Calibur series of fighting games developed by Project Soul and published by Namco. SoulCalibur II made its debut in 2002 in Arcades with console releases coming in 2003. The game released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube, releasing worldwide on all three systems.

Each of these console releases had an exclusive character for each system, the Xbox version featured Spawn, the GameCube version featured Link from The Legend of Zelda series, while the PlayStation release would feature Heihachi from the Tekken franchise.
