2The second entry in the Zero Champ series of street racing games first released on the TurboGrafx-16, with this sequel releasing exclusively on the TurboGrafx-CD.
Zero4 is a type of street drag racing that takes place in Japan over a course of 400m known as zero-yon" (ゼロヨン) or "04". This entry however does not take place in Japan with the game story mode set in the US with a young Japanese racer trying to reclaim his pride after being defeated by an American.
The game does not just play out as a drag racing simulation, Zero4 Champ II features a story mode, which even contains part time jobs that you can take, from dog walker, security guard and even bet on other races. Zero4 Champ II as you would expect features several vehicles from Japanese car manufacturers such as Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and more.
