[Console World Record] Sengoku Basara 2: Heroes Speedrun in 59:11
6Note before you read/watch: this run is timed via adding together the in-game time (IGT) from the end of every level, which is why you will see me typing on my keyboard between levels when I split. I am adding the IGT manually on LiveSplit.
Since my copies of the Sengoku Basara series finally came in, I've taken quite a liking to speedruns of Sengoku Basara 2: Heroes. This is a speedrun of the All Main Stories category, which encompasses the story campaigns for Kojuro, Oichi, and Nagamasa. Very cool with some interesting routing for weapons and upgrades, particularly getting Oichi's best available weapon from her first chapter (it has about 10x more damage on it than her base weapon). There are also two personal items you must get to power up the characters, one on Chapter 4 of Nagamasa (Gives him beam sword for 3 minutes on final chapter) and the other on Chapter 4 of Kojuro (Gives him the ability to stay in his powered up Slaughter Mode for the entirety of his final chapter). I got some really good luck on item drops this run, especially the knife item that raises your attack at red health. This can definitely go lower though so I'll probably work on it more in the future, as welll as do doing runs of All Gaiden Stories in this game.
