+ The game itself is challenging and feels more realistic than other games of this genre like Left 4 Dead, as you really have to conserve ammo and you must aim for headshots
+ Quite a few gamemodes with a variety of unique objectives
+ Flatline which is a wave-based survival mode is my favorite as it truly tests your skill and feels very rewarding as you get further and unlock new sections of the map
+ Online multiplayer generally up to 4 players with a good community
+ Background music, ambient sounds, and dark environments really adds to the emotional tension and overall horror as zombies come for you.
- The controls along with latency to the servers makes aiming quite difficult at times, the sensitivity in particular seems to be a bit all over the place and it can be hard to adjust to a decent setting (especially when using a controller)
- To play online with friends you have to join servers that are mostly hosted by others unless you plan on port forwarding, this can be frusterating at times as servers tend to fill up quickly and can be all over the world which may result in high ping.
