This is the Japanese version of Contra, which has better graphics and is better for speedrunning since you can skip the in between levels cutscenes, but the community mainly speed run the US version.
My run wasn't bad, specially for not playing the game in a long time, I am happy with the result and I have no intentions in optimizing this time at the moment.
