1Welcome to CONTROL ... a Longplay in X parts
For those that think i am giving CONTROL a hard time ... its not it is a bad game , its fantastic ... but the thing that ruins the whole game ,is its presentation ... Alan Wake nailed it story , since its a level based script game ... that you follow ... Max Payne 1 and 2 did the same ... a good noir story ,with an excellent story medium to present it ... but in CONTROL , you have a incoherent story line ,that you have to glue together with notes you finding (if you care to FIND THEM) ... that's starts in the middle ... and does not have a ending ... with an awful "Blade Runner Narrator" that ruins all the drama/fear/presentation the real life motion capture and voice work presents... This narration worked well in Alan Wake, since this game takes place in 4 places at once (Tomas Zane wrote a story, to destroy a Jin ,that trapped him in her realm ... using this realm he crated a story world ... his story was Alan Wake ... about Alan, that was also trapped ,who wrote about himself [Tomas Zane Fire Wall to kill the Jin)... so you play the Game Alan Version (build on the best seller book from Alan), that the Book Alan Narrates ( who is trapped in the Jin Realm) , that the Real Alan in Real Human World wrote , that only exist in a story narrated by Tomas Zane ]...
People hopped this game would have a Alan Wake twist , since it has countless Alan Wake references ... heck even Alan is in this game ... and all this was a second story by Alan to kill the Jin in Hiss form ... but nope ... well there is hope ... DLC AWE
You get a story about a brother and a sister from a poor family ... that played in a town dump , found a slide projector that transported them to a another dimension ... where there are two shapeless form Female and Male ... the female form helped them escape called by them Polaris ... the Male form called HISSS destroyed theirs town ... Agents came and collected the brother calling him P6 ... to do test on him ... the sister , Jess escaped ... 17 years later , Polaris helped Jess find the "Old House" a dimension shifting place (an object of power) where the Agents where located ... when the Director of the House was killed ... Polaris told Jess to get his Gun , Point on her head and shoot ... Jess blindly following like a sheep did it ... beat the Board test (a Black Inverted Pyramid , that is build from the minds of all previous Directors of the Old House , that when they get old and are no longer needed ... no longer useful ... Die , and tiers life force is held ) and became the next director ... her life force ,now is tied to the House ... she cannot die in the House ... find your brother ... stop the HISS ... destroy the projector
Do try to glue the story together ... lulz ... its like they liked the Book that YOU HAVE TO READ IN REAL PHYSICAL FORM ... "House of Leaves" and on its structure, build an game ...
Imagine you have this cool looking Engine ... that can present none seen Raytraced Wonders , and life like Faces... a masterful setting of a Haunted House, that does not like humans ,trapping them in its Labyrinth Forms... a Agency that uses "it" as its base of operation, to store Cursed Items ... and FROM ALL OF THOSE THEMES ... this game is build , on a Sister Looks for Brother story ... that is possessed ... used as Female vs Male social battle ... of NPCs not thinking straight , controlled by HISS ... does it not look like our society ,ey ...
Who has CONTROL ... tweets from mobs that obstruct facts, and shape theirs reality ... or those that CONTROL the money ... to shape theirs reality financing radical groups ... or Social media platforms that want to shape you into a NPC by obstructing Freedoms , re-branding them as hate speech... speech they do not like , is too eye opening
CONTROL a TPS shooter with a political red pill agenda ... trying to open eyes, who has the real power in your life ... a House , a platform that shapes its rules against you ,in its many Labyrinth Corridors ... of the Mob that use those platforms as tools , that give them fake social economic standing , a voice ...
